Lyme’s disease is a common vector-borne condition. The bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi causes Lyme’s disease. Further, it is the infection carried by the bite of the black-legged tick, commonly known as a deer tick. Spending a lot of time in grassy and wooden areas is a potential risk for Lymes.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF LYME’S DISEASE:

Less common signs:

Causes of lyme’s disease:
Firstly, you will be infected by Lyme’s disease when you are bitten by an infected tick. Further, these ticks have to remain attached to the body for 36 to 48 hours. Therefore you have to remove the tick attached to your body as soon as possible.
- Having exposed skin.
- Spending time in wooden or grassy areas.
- And, not removing ticks properly.
Prevention of the disease:
Cover up yourself when you visit grassy or wooden areas. Use insect repellent, remove the tick which is attached to your body, as soon as possible.

DIAGNOSING THE CONDITION:
The doctor will ask you certain questions and examine your body to diagnose Lyme’s disease. Certain tests such as Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay test (ELISA) tests, western blot tests can be carried out to diagnose Lyme’s disease.
TREATMENT OF LYME’S:
Antibiotics are a proven treatment to cure Lyme’s disease. Oral intake of antibiotics is common. Further, in people with severe symptoms, the doctor might give the antibiotic directly to your vein.
The treatment will be given for 28 days or the days prescribed by a doctor. You have to complete the course even you feel better.
